Geosynthetic Liner Installation
CONTACT FOR GEOSYNTHETIC LINER INSTALLATION

Unmatched Performance
“Plastic Fusion was hired to test, repair, and replace existing pond liners on a restart project. The scope of work included installing a new insulated HDPE cover on the existing AD lagoon. Not only was the quality of the crew’s work exceptional, PFF was given the “A Team” award for outstanding work ethic.”

CONTACT FOR GEOSYNTHETIC LINER INSTALLATION

Geosynthetic Liner Installation
Plastic Fusion Fabricators is a nationwide geosynthetic liner installation contractor, providing complete geosynthetic systems for environmental containment, landfill, mining, and industrial projects. We install the full stack of geosynthetics — geomembranes, geotextiles, geogrids, geocomposites, and geocell systems — engineered and deployed to contain, protect, and reinforce. With 40+ years of experience and active projects across 24 states, PFF delivers single-source geosynthetic installation built to environmental compliance standards.
Geosynthetics are the engineered synthetic materials that make modern containment possible: barriers that stop contamination, fabrics that protect and filter, grids that reinforce, and cells that armor slopes. A complete lined system uses several of them together, and the performance depends entirely on installation — every seam welded and tested, every layer placed in the right sequence, every detail documented. That’s why owners and engineers hire experienced installation contractors rather than relying on material suppliers alone.
Plastic Fusion installs the complete geosynthetic system as a single source. When one contractor handles the barrier, the protection, and the reinforcement, the layers are sequenced to work together — and there’s one point of accountability for the containment.
Geosynthetic Systems We Install
- Geomembrane liners — HDPE, LLDPE, and RPP impermeable barriers, the containment core of a lined system
- Geotextiles — woven and nonwoven fabrics for separation, filtration, and geomembrane cushion protection
- Geogrid reinforcement — soil and veneer reinforcement for lined slopes and subgrades
- Geoweb geocell systems — slope armoring and liner protection over containment basins
- Geocomposite liners — engineered drainage and barrier composites
- Geosynthetic clay liners (GCL) — clay-based barriers, often paired with geomembrane in composite systems
- Landfill liner systems — complete composite and double-liner cell construction

Geosynthetic Liner Installation FAQs
What are geosynthetics?
Geosynthetics are engineered synthetic materials used in containment, environmental, and civil construction to contain, protect, separate, filter, reinforce, or drain. The main types are geomembranes (impermeable barriers, typically HDPE), geotextiles (permeable fabrics for separation, filtration, and cushion), geogrids (soil reinforcement), geocomposites (combined drainage and barrier products), and geocell systems like Geoweb (slope armoring). A complete lined containment system typically combines several of these, installed together.
Why hire a certified geosynthetic installer?
The performance of a geosynthetic system depends on installation quality — seams that are welded and tested correctly, layers placed in the right sequence, and the whole installation documented through Construction Quality Assurance (CQA). Because a liner failure is nearly impossible to fix once a cell is filled or a basin is in service, owners and regulators require experienced, certified installation with proven QA/QC. A qualified installer brings field experience across many sites, certified welders, rigorous seam testing, and complete documentation — protections a material supplier can’t provide.
Does Plastic Fusion install all geosynthetic types?
Yes. We install the complete geosynthetic stack — geomembrane barriers, geotextile separation and cushion layers, geogrid reinforcement, geocomposite drainage, and Geoweb geocell systems — as a single-source contractor. Installing the full system through one contractor means the layers are sequenced and detailed to work together, with one point of accountability for the complete containment.
What standards govern geosynthetic installation?
Geosynthetic installation references ASTM and GRI (Geosynthetic Research Institute) standards for materials and seam testing, with installation quality documented through Construction Quality Assurance (CQA). The International Association of Geosynthetic Installers (IAGI) sets recognized standards for installation practice. Plastic Fusion installs to these standards and provides the documentation that environmental compliance requires.
