    Unmatched Performance

“Plastic Fusion was hired to test, repair, and replace existing pond liners on a restart project. The scope of work included installing a new insulated HDPE cover on the existing AD lagoon. Not only was the quality of the crew’s work exceptional, PFF was given the “A Team” award for outstanding work ethic.”

Manure Tank Liner Installation for Dairies & Livestock Operations

Plastic Fusion Fabricators installs and repairs manure tank liners for dairies, livestock operations, and agricultural facilities. A manure tank liner is the impermeable barrier fitted inside a manure storage tank or pit — protecting the tank structure from corrosive waste, containing the manure, and preventing leaks that contaminate soil and groundwater. We fabricate manure tank liners from HDPE, LLDPE, and RPP and fusion-weld them into a continuous, leak-proof barrier. With 40+ years of geomembrane work across 24 states, Plastic Fusion is the contractor agricultural operations trust to keep manure contained.

Stored manure is aggressive. Ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, organic acids, and the gases produced as manure breaks down attack tank materials and find every weak point. A properly specified and welded liner stands up to that environment and keeps the tank holding for the long term.

What a Manure Tank Liner Does

      • Chemical resistance — withstands the ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, and organic acids in stored manure that corrode unlined tanks
      • Leak prevention — a continuous, welded barrier that keeps manure contained
      • Groundwater and soil protection — prevents waste from leaking into the ground and contaminating groundwater
      • Containment integrity — maintains the tank’s ability to safely hold liquid manure and slurry
      • Regulatory compliance — supports agricultural waste containment requirements for soil and groundwater protection

      Manure Storage We Line

      • Manure storage tanks — above- and below-grade manure and slurry storage
      • Manure pits — below-grade manure containment pits
      • Manure slurry storage — liquid and slurry manure containment
      • Agricultural waste storage — manure and agricultural waste containment for dairies and livestock facilities

      HDPE & Flexible Geomembrane Materials

We fabricate manure tank liners from the polyethylene family, matched to the corrosive manure environment:

      • HDPE (high-density polyethylene) — the workhorse for manure containment, with the chemical resistance to stand up to ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, and organic acids over the long term
      • RPP (reinforced polypropylene) — flexible and highly chemical-resistant for demanding agricultural waste service
      • LLDPE — added flexibility to conform to tank and pit geometry

We fusion-weld the liner into a continuous, monolithic barrier with no weak seams for manure to exploit.

Manure Tank Liner Repair, Relining & Removal

We repair and reline aging manure tanks — fitting a new welded liner into a structurally sound tank to restore leak-free containment without replacing the tank. We also remove and dispose of failed manure containment liners as part of a reline.

      Manure Tank Liner FAQs

What is the best liner material for a manure tank?

HDPE is the standard choice for manure containment. Stored manure produces ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, and organic acids that corrode unlined tanks, and HDPE has the chemical resistance to stand up to that environment over the long term. For tanks needing more flexibility, we also use RPP and LLDPE, welded into a continuous barrier.

Why does a manure tank need a liner?

Manure is corrosive and the consequences of a leak are serious — contaminated soil and groundwater, regulatory exposure, and lost containment. A welded liner protects the tank structure from the waste and keeps the manure contained.

Can you reline an existing manure tank or pit?

Yes. If the tank or pit is structurally sound, we fit and weld a new liner into it to restore leak-free containment — far less costly than replacement. We can also remove the failed liner as part of the job.

Do you line manure tanks for dairies and livestock operations?

Yes. We install manure tank and pit liners for dairies, livestock facilities, and agricultural operations, and mobilize for projects across 24 states.
