Unmatched Performance
“Plastic Fusion was hired to test, repair, and replace existing pond liners on a restart project. The scope of work included installing a new insulated HDPE cover on the existing AD lagoon. Not only was the quality of the crew’s work exceptional, PFF was given the “A Team” award for outstanding work ethic.”

Golf Course Pond, Lake & Irrigation Reservoir Liner Installation
Plastic Fusion Fabricators installs golf course pond liners, lake liners, and irrigation reservoir liners for courses across North America. With over 40 years of experience, we provide professional installation of high-quality geomembrane liners engineered to prevent water loss, reduce maintenance costs, and enhance the appearance of the ponds, lakes, and water features that define a course. Whether the water feature is decorative, a strategic hazard, or part of the irrigation supply, our HDPE, LLDPE, and RPP liners keep it holding water and looking right season after season.
A golf course water feature has two jobs at once — it has to look good and it has to hold water. An unlined or failing pond loses water to seepage, drives up irrigation and maintenance costs, and turns into a muddy, weed-choked eyesore in the middle of a course that’s supposed to look immaculate. A properly installed geomembrane liner solves all of it: it seals the pond against water loss, stabilizes the water level, and gives the feature a clean, finished look.
Golf Course Ponds, Lakes & Irrigation Reservoirs
We line every water feature on the course:
- Decorative and ornamental ponds — clean, sealed water features that hold their level and their appearance
- Golf course lakes — larger water features and hazards lined to stop seepage and water loss
- Irrigation ponds and reservoirs — water-supply storage lined to keep every gallon available for the course
- Water hazards — sealed, stable hazards that stay where they’re designed to be
Whether you call it a pond, a lake, or an irrigation reservoir, the engineering is the same — an impermeable, durable, professionally installed liner sized to the feature.
Why Line a Golf Course Pond
- Stop water loss — an unlined pond seeps water into the ground, wasting irrigation water and money
- Cut maintenance costs — a sealed pond holds its level and resists the weeds and muck that plague leaking ponds
- Protect the irrigation supply — lined reservoirs keep stored water available instead of losing it to the soil
- Enhance appearance — a clean, stable water feature looks the part on a well-kept course
Golf Course Liner Materials
We install the materials built for large, engineered golf course water features:
- HDPE (high-density polyethylene) — the workhorse for golf course ponds, lakes, and reservoirs: durable, UV-resistant, and cost-effective at scale
- LLDPE — added flexibility to conform to the contours and shaping of designed water features
- RPP (reinforced polypropylene) — a flexible, durable option for features that call for it
Every liner is fusion-welded into a continuous, leak-free barrier and installed to the engineered shape of the feature.
Installed for the Course, Not Rolled Out of a Box
There’s a difference between a liner from a catalog and an engineered pond lined to perform. A golf course pond or lake is a large, shaped, visible feature that has to hold water for decades in full view of every golfer who plays past it. That calls for custom fabrication to the feature’s size and contours, professional deployment and anchoring, and fusion-welded seams that won’t leak. Plastic Fusion installs at that level — and we stand behind a finished water feature that holds and looks right.
Golf Course Pond Liner Removal and Replacement
When an existing golf course pond liner fails, weathers out, or no longer holds water, we remove and replace it. We install a new fusion-welded liner over or in place of the old one, restoring the feature without tearing up more of the course than necessary.

Golf Course Pond Liner FAQs
What is the best liner for a golf course pond?
For most golf course ponds, lakes, and irrigation reservoirs, HDPE (high-density polyethylene) is the best material — it’s durable, UV-resistant, and cost-effective at the scale golf course features require. LLDPE adds flexibility for shaped and contoured features, and RPP is available where a feature calls for it. We match the material and thickness to the specific water feature and fusion-weld it into a continuous, leak-free liner.
Do you line golf course lakes and irrigation reservoirs, not just ponds?
Yes. We line the full range of golf course water features — decorative ponds, larger lakes and hazards, and irrigation supply ponds and reservoirs. The material and method are the same engineered, fusion-welded geomembrane regardless of what the feature is called.
Can you replace an existing golf course pond liner?
Yes. We remove and replace failed, weathered, or leaking golf course pond liners and install a new fusion-welded liner, restoring the feature with as little disruption to the course as possible.
